LFITM Fully Mobilized Alongside Its Students and Families
In the current context in Abu Dhabi, and in accordance with the decisions of the local authorities, the Lycée Français International Théodore Monod has implemented distance learning for all students until April 3, 2026.
As the situation continues to evolve, this arrangement will be reviewed on a weekly basis, in line with official guidelines and developments.
Our priority is clear: to ensure everyone’s safety, maintain continuity in learning, and support each family with care, flexibility, and kindness.
A System Designed for Students and Families
The organization is based on several key principles:
- Adapted Learning Plans
Activities and materials are designed according to students’ age, academic level, and individual needs.
Teachers ensure that content remains accessible, progressive, and aligned with ongoing learning objectives.
- Flexible and Adjusted Schedules
To take into account the different situations of families, especially those currently abroad, schedules and connection times can be adapted with flexibility.
The goal is to allow each student to continue their learning journey in the best possible conditions, despite time zone differences or family constraints.
- Ongoing Support
Teachers remain in close contact with their students through:
- Learning plans
- Clear instructions
- Virtual classes
- Regular follow-ups
Each student is encouraged to progress at their own pace, within a structured and supportive framework.
An Approach Tailored to Each Age Group
Because a preschool child does not learn in the same way as a high school student, LFITM adapts its approach at every stage of schooling.
In Preschool
The focus is on simple, short, and hands-on activities, encouraging manipulation, language development, routines, and maintaining the connection with the class.
In Primary School
Teachers offer a balance between independent work, guided sessions, and virtual classes, with clear instructions and progressive support.
In Middle and High School
Students benefit from a more structured organization, including synchronous and asynchronous sessions, learning materials, assignments, and close academic monitoring.
Regular Communication with Families
We encourage parents to carefully review all communications sent by the school and teachers. These include:
- Learning plans
- Links to virtual classes
- Instructions by level or subject
- Possible timetable adjustments
- Information regarding the collection of school materials, when applicable
In this period, clear and consistent communication is essential, and we thank families for their attentiveness, responsiveness, and trust.
A Strong and United School Community
In this particular context, the entire LFITM community remains fully committed to preserving what matters most:
the connection with students, the quality of learning, and a sense of continuity despite the distance.
We understand that this situation may raise questions and require daily adjustments. This is why we are committed to regular, transparent, and reassuring communication to best support every family.
We would like to warmly thank:
- Our teaching and administrative teams for their dedication
- Our students for their adaptability
- Our families for their trust
- The Parents’ Association (APE) for its valuable support and collaboration
